Who: Maito Gai and Hatake Kakashi
What: Meeting at Kakashi's apartment to discuss work.
Where: Kakashi's apartment
When: December, 17 '09
Warnings: Slight cursing

After several hard knocks on his front door, Kakashi frowned and looked at the clock on his bedside table, the crazy bastard had actually showed up at five AM. What kind of person would do this to some one else?
Dragging himself out of bed Kakashi stumbled slightly, before walking out in the living room and going to the front door, why did he really show up at five?

Opening the door Kakashi rubbed his eyes sleepily and peered out into the hall, "...wh-what?" Kakashi muttered groggily as he leaned against the door frame heavily.

He couldn't stand this man already, but mostly for the fact that he had showed up at five AM, and in Kakashi's opinion he was much too happy, and much too hyperactive, and much too talkative, and much too happy... And annoying.
17th-Dec-2009 12:43 am (UTC)
"Hello!" He very nearly shouted, smiling widely. He gave a thumb ups, before pushing himself into the apartment, and kicking his shoes off. Gai held a small white bag, glancing around, he turned and stared at Kakashi. "Hey, shut the door. You're letting all of the cold air in!"

He crossed his arms, feigning coldness as he stepped away from the smaller man. Setting the bag by the couch, he flopped down on the arm, and continued to watch the drummer. "So,guess what I had in mind today? Eh?"
17th-Dec-2009 12:54 am (UTC)
"Hopefully sleep." Kakashi said narrowing his eyes as he closed the front door, and flipped the lights on, "I wish you had waited to come ov-" he paused mid sentence and yawned, stretching as he did so, "-...Over." He said as he crossed the room and flopped down on the couch.

Looking up at Gai he put his hands behind his head and narrowed his eyes at him, "...What?" he asked menacingly.
17th-Dec-2009 12:58 am (UTC)
"Are you inviting me to live with you? But Kakashi--don't you think that's rushing things?" He placed his hand against his chest, blinking at him before chuckling and shaking his head. "But no...I'm not dating anyone at the moment. I'm sorry. But what we are doing is going for a jog!"

He leaned down, lifting the bag up and shaking it at Kakashi. Still smiling, he said: "Surely you have jogging clothes, right? You aren't a completely unyouthful being are you?"
17th-Dec-2009 01:19 am (UTC)
"Wh-what?" Kakashi asked flushing slightly, before sitting up and looking at his lap, trying to stop blushing, "...I have sweats, if that's what you're trying to ask?" Kakashi asked glancing back at him.

"I didn't even come close to asking you to live with me... And... And I don't care if you're single." Kakashi said huffing slightly. "But no, no I'm not going jogging with you. That may be okay with politicians, or whatever you body guard, but not me. I have to write today. And practice, and shit like that..." Kakashi said standing up slowly and stretching slightly, "I'm going back to my room now." Kakashi said as he began to walk toward his bedroom, "You can eat, and exercise or whatever, but I'm going back to sleep for awhile." Kakashi said as he placed his hands on his hips and sighed softly.
17th-Dec-2009 01:37 am (UTC)
Laughing heartily, Gai jumped what. The first challenge of the day was presenting itself! He strode over to Kakashi, grabbing him by the back of the shirt, ignoring most of what he said, and instead said. "Yes, you are. You'll have time to jog with me, as well as write, practice and shit, as you put it, since you got up and are staying up!"

Gai continued to hold onto his shirt, smile firmly in place as he looked at the mans back. Such an amusing fellow. "You have sweats? Okay.." He drew out the end of the last word, leaning over Kakashi's shoulder. "Go change into them, so we can go jogging, alright?"
17th-Dec-2009 01:46 am (UTC)
"Meh Gai..." Kakashi said as he grabbed the bottom of his shirt, and quickly pulled his shirt over his head, "You can't command me around, as if I'm some sort of dog or something." Kakashi said as he turned to face him, "Please don't manhandle me." Kakashi said as he turned away again. "I suppose I could stand for a jog." Kakashi said languidly, though in actuality he seriously wanted to go back to sleep.

Glanging back at Gai, Kakashi waved lazily, "You can keep that shirt, if you like." He said giving a slight wink, before he started to walk away once again.
17th-Dec-2009 04:03 am (UTC)
"No need to keep the shirt of a man you don't even know." He stated, tossing it onto the couch and following Kakashi. He didn't believe for a second that this man was actually going to go get dressed for their morning jog. If he were left to himself, Gai supposed the drummer would crawl back into bed and be asleep before he knew it.

"I would never manhandle a client, if you're worried about that. ..Hm, that is unless they seriously needed a little rough care." Gai said, snorting quietly. Maybe that was what this spoiled guy needed.
17th-Dec-2009 12:24 pm (UTC)
Frowning Kakashi turned around and put his hands against Gai's chest and pushed slightly, "Don't follow me. I'm perfectly capable of getting dressed by myself." Kakashi said as he rolled his eyes slightly, and turned away from Gai, entering his bed room, he went to his closet, "You do realize that you're here to protect me, not babysit me?" Kakashi asked as he glanced over his shoulder, as he opened the closet.

Walking into the closet he glanced around at the clothes in there, in all honesty he wasn't even sure why he had half of these clothes, he rarely wore them. Frowning Kakashi took an ankle length coat down and flopped down in the corner covering up he tried his best to get comfortable. "I'll be out there in a few. I need to find something to wear, and then dress." Kakashi called before leaning his head back against the wall, and closing his eyes.
17th-Dec-2009 01:12 pm (UTC)
"Babysitting and protecting are practically the same thing, for your information." He muttered, running his fingers along the wall as he followed the steps Kakashi had taken just moments before. He stopped by the bedroom door, grasping the nob he turned it slowly and peeked in.

"Ah!" He shouted indignantly, striding into the bedroom and frowning at the bundled up man. Gai crossed his arms, narrowing his eyes as he looked down on him. "Get up now! Don't let your flame of youth burn out! That would be terrible." Nudging Kakashi, he sighed loudly and dramatically.
17th-Dec-2009 01:29 pm (UTC)
Kakashi whined slightly, and pushed on Gai with his foot, "It already burned out... Leave me alone." He said sighing and covering up tighter. "Besides, I just told you that I was changing! Why'd you follow me in here?" Kakashi asked as he uncovered his head enough to peek out at Gai.

Sighing Kakashi reached up and grabbed his sweat suit, dragging it down to himself he glared at Gai slightly, "...leave me alone." Kakashi said as he pulled the suit underneath his coat, and snuggled up to it.
17th-Dec-2009 01:34 pm (UTC)
Scoffing Gai leaned down, shoving him on the top of the head. "It has not, and while I'm working for you it wont be allowed to! So hurry up, hurry up." He urged, shaking the drummer slightly. Standing up straight again, he continued to frown down at him, waiting expectantly. "It doesn't matter if you're changing or not, I can still be in the same room as you. It would different if you were female, but you aren't."

Gai grabbed the coat and yanked it away, walking a small distance away from Kakashi and looking around before tossing the coat down. "Don't go to sleep! If I leave this room, I'll be back in a minute to check on you!"
17th-Dec-2009 02:04 pm (UTC)
Peeking out of the closet Kakashi frowned, "Just because I'm a male that doesn't mean that I don't need privacy..." Kakashi said heaving a sigh, as he stood up and began to strip, wondering why he was even going along with this, pausing he closed the closet door, and began changing once again.

Sighing Kakashi pulled the sweat suit pants on and paused to look in the mirror hanging on the back of his closet door. Frowning he put a hand in his hair and ruffled it slightly, smiling weakly he figured it didn't really matter since he was going jogging, pulling the shirt on lazily he grabbed a book off of the top shelf he walked out of the closet and flopped down in bed, and opened the book, as he turned his bedside lamp on.
17th-Dec-2009 06:39 pm (UTC)
"Also doesn't mean I care if you want it! I need to be around you as often as possible. 'Danger lurks around every corner' the saying goes, and that counts for your closet!" Clasping his hands together, he waited for the him to finish. When he did come out Gai looked him over, and his frown deepened when the younger man plopped down onto his bed, acting as if he were going to read.

"What do you think you're doing?" He asked slowly, narrowing his eyes and looking down at him with displeasure.
17th-Dec-2009 08:32 pm (UTC)
"...I...I'm going to read." Kakashi said frowning and looking up at Gai, "I didn't think you were actually serious about jogging! You're mad if you expect me to go out there, my fans will ravish me." Kakashi said, he frown deepening, as he picked up his nose mask, from his bed side table, and put it on.

Sitting up he stretched and dropped the book down on the bed as he stood up, "You... don't expect me to go out there, do you?" Kakashi asked, narrowing his eyes at Gai, as he folded his arms over his chest.
18th-Dec-2009 02:23 pm (UTC)
"Bah, you don't even know what that word means." Gai said loudly, and surely. plucking the book away from him and looking at the title briefly. Knowing what a clients reading material was a plus; it was bound to help you get to know them. "You aren't going to read, and yes. I do expect you to go out there. I'll be with you! So you don't have to worry about being molested or raped, I wont let that happen."

Rolling his eyes, Gai shifted them to look back at Kakashi. Such a crybaby. "You fans will surely be happy to know that you do things like a normal person, and jogging is one of those things. Now that take ridiculous thing off your face!"
18th-Dec-2009 03:26 pm (UTC)
"I know exactly what that words means." Kakashi said huffing slightly, before jerking his book out of Gai's hand, a book which just so happened to have an odd title 'Icha Icha Paradise', folding his arms over his chest, he tucked the book underneath his arm.

"I'll have you know, that I use a freaky treadmill, I don't need to jog. And besides that, they wouldn't pay any mind to you, they'd probably just push you aside and walk right over to me. You just don't understand this at all, do you?" Kakashi asked, shaking his head slightly.

"And I'll have you know, that I don't go anywhere with out this." Kakashi said, before pointing to his nose mask. "So, no, I will not remove it, thank you very much." Kakashi said before turning away from Gai indigently.
18th-Dec-2009 03:39 pm (UTC)
Gai slowly placed his hand on Kakashi's shoulder, turning him back around forcefully. "Not many people are strong enough to just push me to the side, you can try. Believe those skinny arms of yours' wont do much."

He was curious about the book, but decided he would ask about it later, after he finally got the prick outside and moving. Fingering the top of the nose piece, he continued to frown. "And why not? You look like a fool. OH and freaky treadmills don't work as well, ya know..."
18th-Dec-2009 10:47 pm (UTC)
Frowning and pouting ever so slightly, Kakashi reached up and pushed Gai's hand aside, "I-I didn't mean to say 'freaky treadmill'..." he said as a slight blush appeared on his cheeks.

Grateful that he was wearing his nose mask, that hid his blush so well, Kakashi shook his head slightly, "I'm not worried about me pushing you aside, Gai-san, I'm worried about other people." Kakashi said as he waved his hand dismissively, "Because I like it. It's part of my appearance. It's part of me." Kakashi said as he looked away from Gai, and tossed the book onto the bed, "Let's just go, or whatever..." he said sighing.
18th-Dec-2009 11:00 pm (UTC)
Exhaling loudly, Gai continued to looked at the drummer. Slowing lowering his hand, he shook his head. "And you don't need to worry about anyone else pushing me over for that matter, because it isn't going to happen." He stated blandly, slowly crossing his arms so as to try and put out the desire to rip the half mask off. He didn't know why but it got on his nerves.

"Alright! That's more like it. Get up and come on if we're going to do this thing before night time. Come on, come on." He said this all very quickly, nudging the other with his foot before stepping back, looking impatient as he waited.
19th-Dec-2009 03:01 am (UTC)
Kakashi rolled his eyes exaggeratedly before walking past Gai and out of his bedroom, crossing the distance between his bedroom doorway, and the front door very quickly he grabbed a pair of tennis-shoes and pulled them on, and began to tie them quickly.

Standing up straight he looked at the ceiling and began waiting for Gai, all the while wondering why his manager had insisted on getting this man for the job, when he was so...fresh! Kakashi couldn't believe it, no one talked to him that way, ever. And for a reason unknown to him, he really enjoyed it!

He couldn't understand what it was about being talked down to that got him so excited, but there was just something about the fact that someone out there didn't think that he was a God, that really got him excited... And he couldn't stand it. HE didn't like not knowing why something so dumb made him feel so good... He didn't like not knowing something, that bothered him.
19th-Dec-2009 02:21 pm (UTC)
Gai stood in the bedroom for only a few seconds, as he collected himself. Sometimes he just wanted to punch people in the face, and right now, that would be unprofessional. Walking out of the bedroom, he maneuvered himself around the furniture and other objects until he was next to the musician.

"I think you should understand that storming off without me could lead to a...bad situation." Make things plain and simple, Gai! He thought, forcing a smile as he looked at the annoying, yet intriguing, bundle he had been hired to protect. Glancing down at his feet and make to him, Gai couldn't help but chuckle.

"So we're jogging, alright!"
19th-Dec-2009 03:07 pm (UTC)
"Meh, I already know that, yet I couldn't even begin to care, at the moment, because, as you see, we are in my apartment." Kakashi said blankly, as he motioned around the room, "And, you may or may not know this, but I do have a security system." Kakashi said as he opened the door and slowly stepped out into the hallway.

"Come now, aren't you coming?" Kakashi asked, as he smiled wryly, before he began to stretch.
20th-Dec-2009 01:45 am (UTC)
Shrugging, Gai slipped his shoes on and stepped out. Flipping the lock, he slowly shut the door staring at Kakashi. "Don't act as if I'm the slow one, Kakashi. That would be you." He said, shrugging casually as he started down the hallway, grabbing onto Kakashi's sleeve and yanking him along behind.

"Like a turtle."
20th-Dec-2009 04:48 pm (UTC)
"Meh, what're you doing? I have to stretch, so I don't hurt myself..." Kakashi said as he pulled away from Gai, and began to follow him at a slow pace, slipping his hands into his pockets, and looking away toward the wall, yet managing not to run into anything.
20th-Dec-2009 05:47 pm (UTC)
"Come now! I think hurting yourself would do you some good--might heighten the youth you're lacking in so terribly, ne?" He chuckled, glancing back at the drummer and raising one thick eyebrow questioningly.

Gai happened to be serious when he said that, and he would try to prove what he said, if he didn't happen to be protecting the man.
21st-Dec-2009 01:28 pm (UTC)
"Don't be ridiculous." Kakashi said, as he exhaled heavily, and shook his head slightly, "Do you even know your job?" he asked, in a tone many would consider condescending. Pulling his arm away Kakashi shook his head slightly, and began to do his warm-up stretches.

"I'll have you know, that I used to jog all the time, so I know what I'm doing, it's just lately here..." Kakashi said, pausing mid sentence to sigh exasperatedly "-that I've stopped. Maybe it's been a year or two..." Kakashi said, giving a slight shrug, and seemingly ignored the fact that he had indeed not gone jogging for over four years... and it was a long while over.
22nd-Dec-2009 03:17 pm (UTC)
Gai scoffed, crossing his arms and leaning against the hallway wall, watching Kakashi warm up. Rolling his eyes, he glanced away. "Oh no, of course I don't. I've only been doing it for over 20 years." Maybe he was exaggerating, but he didn't mind.

"Sure, sure. I'll believe that, a musician that jogged all the time, but then suddenly stopped two years ago." His tone was cold, and mocking as he looked back at the drummer. "Two years is like forever anyway, that's ridiculous!"
22nd-Dec-2009 03:58 pm (UTC)
"Yeah. I did." Kakashi said standing up straight, and narrowing his eyes at Gai, "...And I'll have you know, that when you almost get killed, because people are fucked up, that tends to put a damper on what you were doing at the time! Also, it kinda makes you not want to do it." Kakashi said scoffing as he started down the stairs.

"I don't think you even looked me up last night." Kakashi said softly, frowning out of the sheer annoyance of the fact that his bodyguard didn't know who he was.
22nd-Dec-2009 04:02 pm (UTC)
"Damn, you act like a woman." He complained under his breath, walking after the young man, for which he deemed an 'unyouthful idiot'. Gai slipped his hands into his pockets, watching his clients back, and grinning. He would get to him one way or another.

"No, I didn't look you up. Why would I? You're just another person." Gai stated, quickly catching up to him, and falling into an even pace beside him. "I think it would be much easier to get to know one another, don't you?"
22nd-Dec-2009 05:56 pm (UTC)
Kakashi inhaled very hard, as he stopped walking and turned to look at gai, letting his breath out slowly he smiled softly, "I suppose that could work." he said, using a gentle tone. Kakashi, slowly stopped smiling as he started walking again, he seemed to be thinking, as he let his expression go blank.

Slipping his hands into his pockets he just let the silence hang there.

If Gai didn't care to bother understanding, just how big of a star he was, then he would just pretend that Gai wasn't even there. And just downright ignore his existence.

And after awhile he was sure Gai would quit. And leave him.

Like everybody else.

And that would put a stop to these odd feelings he was experiencing.

But he didn't want it to stop.

He wanted to understand it.

Sighing Kakashi slipped his hand out of his pocket and pushed the door open, stepping outside, he inhaled deeply, as he glanced around. He figured that maybe he was having so much trouble with Gai, because he was so different then anyone else he had ever been around...he was different...

He needed to be understood, and Kakashi needed to understand, but what would it take to get there?

What would it take?

How long would it last?

Kakashi smiled at Gai, though it was a fake smile, and this much was obvious, he put his hand up and ran his fingers through his hair, looking much like one of his staged photo shoots, with the twilight sky behind him, and a soft glow from the lights of the apartment building on his face, "Lets go jogging Gai." Kakashi said as he smiled again, closing his eyes as he did so, letting his hand drop to his side.

How long would it take, for him to leave?

How long would it take?

Would he say goodbye tomorrow?

Would he wait awhile?

Would it hurt when he walked away?
